Everything starts with a dream.
Mystavaria is a text-based MUD RPG — a Multi-User Dungeon, roleplaying game. We are currently in the pre-alpha development phase and will be opening the world to the public in the second half of 2025.
🤔 Wait… a Game with No Graphics?
That's right — no graphics. But don't be too quick to dismiss it.
Text-based games are like a rich novel or choose your own adventure book. Except in this, you're the main character and the story isn't written. You shape it. You push the narrative forward. You become the storm, the peacekeeper, the tyrant, the legend.
Want to build an empire? Farm mushrooms and raise foxes? Manipulate the weather? Create dreamscapes? It's all possible in Mystavaria.
🌍 A World Built on Lore, Secrets, and Dreams
Mystavaria is world layered with rich history and lore, and secrets hidden throughout the land. Not much is known about how Mystavaria came to be, only rumours, myths, and half-truths. It will be challenging, but isn't every good story?
Let your imagination roam. If not in reality, then in your dreams.
⚔️ Fantasy Meets Familiar
Mystavaria takes from some of the most recurrent themes in gaming and combines them with a unique twist on traditional classes and skills. We have an extensive selection of skills and original abilities that at least we haven't seen anywhere else before:
- Shape surreal dreamscapes as a Dreamweaver.
- Become a Sky Prophet and wield the power of weather manipulation.
- Stick to tradition as a sword-wielding Blademaster.
- Or skip the major skills and become a Master Artisan with extensive crafting knowledge.
From gathering herbs to becoming a demi-god, your progression is yours to shape.

🏙️ Cities and Civilisations
While Mystavaria is an ever-expanding world, we will be launching with two main player-run cities:
- Meliura: The City of Hope — compassionate, just, idealistic.
- Praestantia: The City of Glory — ambitious, powerful, unbound.
Each city features distinct cultures, governments, and opportunities for players to shape its future. Cities, guilds, and governments are all influenced — and often led — by players like you.

👁️ Ascend Beyond Mortality
Mystavaria is intended to have expansive, immersive and encompassing gameplay that will afford any player the chance to ascend to the role of Demi-Gods, powerful beings who develop their own realms and influence the mortal world. The fight doesn't end here, though. The power of dreams ebbs and flows and this will be evident in the war of Realms. If Demi-Gods are not careful, however, their power can be stripped, leaving their godly mantle to be taken over by someone else.

While the game isn't publicly playable just yet, development is active and ongoing. We post frequent updates and hang out in our Discord community, which is full of curious adventurers, lore nerds, and future dreamers.
Whether you're a veteran of MUDs or this is your first brush with interactive fiction, Mystavaria is a space for storytellers, builders, and dreamers alike. We can't wait to show you what's coming.
