From major and minor skills to crafting and gathering skills,
there are many choices to be made in Mystavaria! When you have
decided to pursue a certain skill, you must seek out an NPC or
player that is capable of passing on their knowledge of that
skill to you. This can be done using the command REQUEST <skill>
from <player/NPC>. Be aware, you must request/acquire a skill
before you can LEARN it. (See HELP LEARNING and HELP LESSONS.)
Minor Skills, Crafting Skills, and Gathering Skills can be acquired
and learned by all, regardless of profession. Magister Peritia (found
in Arborvella) is renowned for her basic knowledge of nearly every
skill in each of these categories and happy to oblige requests.
Major Skills are a bit different, as they are unique by profession.
To acquire a Major Skill, you must first CHOOSE which profession
you would like to join (see HELP CHOOSING), then seek out a player
or NPC of the same profession with knowledge of the skill you wish to
acquire. If at a loss, each profession has a main guild hall and guild
tutor that can be sought out and learned from.
You will find that many other NPCs around the land also belong to
professions or are practitioners of the various Minor, Crafting and
Gathering skills, and may be able to assist.
