Game Help: Skies

The skies of Mystavaria are vast and expansive, with two layers that make
long-distance travel dramatically faster than on foot. From above, roads,
obstacles, and other land-based hazards can often be bypassed entirely.

The FLYING minor skill is highly recommended for those who wish to travel
quickly, explore remote areas, or reach otherwise inaccessible places. For more
on how to sustain flight and navigate the skies, see HELP FLYING.

    Reaching the Skies
To access the skies, you must have a means of flight:
       - The FLYING skill itself
       - A winged mount
       - Other abilities that grant flight or levitation

Without some form of aerial support, entering the skies risks a dangerous
fall - one that may cause significant injury or even broken legs.

    The Lower Skies
Most territories and settlements are covered by a navigable LOWER SKY. This layer
is structured as a nine-sector aerial grid:
    NW - N - NE
    W - CEN - E
    SW - S - SE

These sectors hover above their respective ground-level areas, allowing
fliers to traverse the local area quickly.

    The Higher Skies
Above the lower skies there is another layer of HIGH SKY. This is a much more
vast, open aerial layer that spans across the lower sky grids. At this level,
navigation from one side of the world to the other becomes significantly faster.

    Rumours of the Seasonal Skies
Sky Prophets speak of a tier far beyond the high skies: the SEASONAL SKIES.
Said to shape and govern the weather of Mystavaria, these mysterious heights
remain out of mortal reach - if they exist at all. Still, the winds whisper of
strange forces at work far beyond reach of the clouds...
