🎠Roleplay in Mystavaria
You've always dreamed of being someone else, haven't you?
Roleplay is strongly encouraged in Mystavaria, but it is not strictly enforced. Players are welcome to speak out-of-character (OOC) socially or casually amongst friends or in private, while being mindful of other' RP Preferences. When it comes to meaningful choices and game-impacting actions such as city politics, world events, faction conflict, and divine influence, we ask that these be approached and executed entirely from an in-character (IC) perspective.
This helps keep the world immersive and reactive without requiring players to remain in-character during downtime. The focus is on creating a setting where actions matter and stories grow naturally from character motivations.
💡 Tip: Use RP STATUS <character>
to check someone's preferred level of immersion, and avoid breaking character in front of those who prefer a fully in-character experience.
🌱 Cultural Development and Storytelling
The culture of Mystavaria will grow from how players and groups choose to act and respond within the world. Cities, guilds, and other affiliations are not bound by fixed lore or predefined behaviour. The people who inhabit them define their tone and evolve their values.
Storytelling is a core part of the game. It emerges through conflict, discovery, alliances, rivalries, and consequence. Both short dialogue-based exchanges and longer emotes are welcome. We support and encourage both styles, depending on the moment and the players involved, as long as the interaction remains grounded in the character's perspective.
💡 Tip: Each player can set a preference for short or long-form RP to appear under their RP STATUS
. This helps others understand how you prefer to engage and makes interaction smoother and more enjoyable for everyone involved.
âš¡ Fast and Expressive Roleplay Tools
