Game Help: Candidates

Elections allow Mystavarians to participate in the leadership of certain
organisations, choosing and appointing representatives who will serve in
vital positions. Citizens and guild members have the right to challenge and
initiate elections, and are encouraged to do so when a leader's performance
    is unsatisfactory or absent.

    General Election Process
There are two main phases of elections:

    1. The Campaigning Period
The campaigning period lasts for two Mystavarian months (two real-world days),
during which other citizens or guild members can declare their own candidacy.
During this time, candidates are encouraged to share their vision and plans to
    earn support from others.

    2. The Voting Period
After the campaigning period ends, citizens or guild members have three
Mystavarian months (three real-world days) to vote for their preferred
candidate. At the conclusion of the election, the candidate who has tallied
the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the former leader is given
preference and will retain their position if they are amongst the tied
    candidates.

To view currently active or ongoing elections, simply type ELECTIONS.

    City Elections
When citizens become dissatisfied with one of their city's Magistrates, they
may challenge the official by using CITY CHALLENGE <magistrate> to begin
the election process. In the event of a vacancy in a Magistrate seat, citizens
can initiate an election by declaring candidacy for the empty position using
    CITY CHALLENGE VACANCY.

See HELP CITY CHALLENGE for further details about city elections.

    Guild Elections
If a guild member believes their Guildmaster is no longer representing or
leading the guild well, they may wish to GUILD CHALLENGE LEADER. Similar
to city elections, other guild members can also challenge the Guildmaster
during the campaigning period to submit themselves for candidacy.

If a Guildmaster steps down, abandons the guild, or the position otherwise
becomes vacant, the first guild member of apprioriate rank to GUILD CHALLENGE
LEADER will assume the role of Guildmaster. Should others disagree with
this automatic ascension, they may initiate a proper election by challenging
    the new leader.

See HELP GUILD CHALLENGE for further details about guild elections.

    Candidates & Voting
Once an election has been initiated, others can view the running candidates
    using the following commands:

CANDIDATES View all candidates for all active elections.
CANDIDATES CITY View candidates running in any active city election.
CANDIDATES GUILD View candidates running in any active guild election.

Established citizens or guild members can then cast their vote using
CITY VOTE <candidate> or GUILD VOTE <candidate>.
