Game Help: Health

Your physical health reflects your life force - your ability to move, act,
and survive. When you're wounded, exhausted, or afflicted by illness or
spellcraft, your health begins to drain. If it reaches zero, you will die.

    Checking Your Health
You can monitor your health in a few ways:
      - Use STATUS to see your general wellbeing
      - Turn PROMPT ON to track your health with every action and movement
      - Use QS (Quick Status) to quickly glance at your current vitals

Health will often appear in the abbreviated format of "hp" (Hit or Health Points),
and can optionally take the format of symbolic bars or a percentage value in
    your prompt. (See HELP PROMPT.)

    Losing Health
Health can be drained by many things:
      - Injury from combat or attack
      - Afflictions such as burning or poisons
      - Environmental hazards such as druidic grasses
      - Risky movement, such as falling from the sky

If you are bleeding, your health may continue to drop until the wound is closed
or clotted. Minor bleeds can stop on their own, but serious wounds may require
intervention. Healing magic, potions, and herbs can help you recover faster.

To recover health, see HELP RECOVERY for more information on how to heal
naturally, magically, or with the help of others.

    What Happens at 0 Health
If your health hits zero, you will fall unconscious and succumb to death.
This is not the end - there is no permanent death in Mystavaria. You may
lose some experience, coins, and resources carried openly at the time of your
    demise, but your sould endures.

After death, you will find yourself drifting toward the Isle of the Dead. From
there, you need only DREAM OF REALITY to reunite your spirit with your
    physical body.

Rare powers or protections can interrupt death itself, but these are exceptions,
    not the rule.

    Raising Your Maximum Health
Your maximum total health increases as you gain levels of experience. A stronger
body means a broader threshold between life and death - but reaching that threshold can still come down to your choices in battle.

Managing your health effectively is crucial for survival and success in combat
or other dangerous encounters throughout the realm.
