Navigating Mystavaria is key to your adventures! The most common method of
movement is by using compass directions - simply type commands like NORTH
or N to move. When you LOOK in a room, you'll see any obvious exits,
helping you determine your next path. As you explore, you'll come to rely on
a combination of visible exits, room descriptions, your own memory, and help
from other players.

Getting Directions
NPCs are able to offer helpful guidance on reaching nearby destinations. They
can tell you how far a landmark is and the path to follow to reach it. Most NPCs
are best informed about the town or settlement they reside in and can provide
directions to places like banks, trade markets, and local shops.
To get directions from an NPC, simply ASK them a question such as:
- How do I get to the bank?
- Can you give me directions to Privia?
- Where is the nearest shop?
- Is there a trade market?
For example:
ASK PERITIA how do I get to the nearest shop?
will return:
|540Magister Peritia says, "The nearest shop is The Arbor Shop. It is 9 locations
away, following a path to the west, south, west, down, north, and east."
Automatic Navigation
|rTHIS FEATURE IS IN TESTING AND MAY CAUSE LAG OR ERRORS. PLEASE USE WITH
CAUTION AND REPORT ANY ISSUES.
Mystavaria's major routes are well-travelled and well-known, and in many areas,
you may make use of automatic navigation. With the PATHTO <landmark or settlement> command, your character will begin walking toward the destination automatically,
so long as it is close enough and a known route exists.
If you issue another movement command or type STOP, auto-pathing will be
cancelled. You can resume at any time by typing PATHTO <destination> again.
Do note, exploration accolades which involve discovering a new location or
area will not be credited when using auto-pathing.
