Groups are folders for your aliases, variables and, in Mystavaria's web
browser client, your buttons, macros and triggers. A whole group can be switched off
at once and back on again, which is handy for sets of shortcuts you only
want some of the time, such as one for hunting and one for crafting. They
work the same whichever client you play with.
Using Groups
Make a group with SETTINGS GROUP NEW <name>, then put things in it with
ALIAS GROUP <alias> = <group> and VARIABLE GROUP <variable> = <group>.
(In the web client, each editor has a Move to group choice.) Leave the group
empty to take something out of its group.
An alias or button only works when it and its group are both on. A variable
in a group that is off counts as not set, so its @name is left as you typed
it. Names can be typed in any capitals.
Deleting a group does not delete what is in it: those things just have no
group any more (you are asked first if the group is not empty). Renaming a
group renames it everywhere.
Group names
Up to 30 letters, numbers and spaces, plus - _ and ' (anything else is
left out). Capitals are kept as you type them but do not matter when you
use the name.
Syntax:SETTINGS GROUP
SETTINGS GROUP SHOW <name>
SETTINGS GROUP NEW <name>
SETTINGS GROUP ON <name>
SETTINGS GROUP OFF <name>
SETTINGS GROUP RENAME <name> = <new name>
SETTINGS GROUP DELETE <name>
See HELP SETTINGS COPY to copy a group from another of your characters.
